After a lifetime working in the building trade I started using a computer at home as a hobby and soon became fascinated and determined to increase my knowledge of modern technology. Attending Further Education evening classes in ICT plus several on line IT courses, I became self taught to the Microsoft standard of MCDST. Realising how difficult it can be for some of us to understand new technology and the language that goes with it I began helping friends and family with simple guidance and tuition to use and understand their computers.

I like to think that I have become quite competent in computer and related IT areas. The myth that you need to be a young whiz kid to understand modern technology is something I would like to dispel by helping others - especially in the older age bracket - to understand and use their computers to their full potential. I am confident that after having tuition from me you will achieve a greater understanding with greater benefit and enjoyment from using a computer.

People tell me they feel less intimidated dealing with a more mature person rather than a younger, perhaps less patient tutor. I give help and guidance to computer users of any age or standard, at a pace to suit their individual needs. I have learnt from my own experiences so understand the frustrations of grasping the fundamentals of modern technology. For your convenience I can visit you in your own home to give step by step lessons using your own computer or if more convenient you may visit me. I am based in Farnham and cover the surrounding GU areas of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. I also help with more complex areas such as fault diagnosis and PC repairs, configuring networks, and have done simple web site design for small businesses (an example here)
